Yvonne Carr, Founder of Women Entrepreneurs for Africa, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) Education for girls and women’s entrepreneurship.

As a Computer Information Systems major at the University of Houston-Downtown, and an active member of the Association for Computing Machinery, Ms. Carr served as Judge for Texas High School Science and Engineering Fair for two consecutive years.

Additionally, Ms. Carr served as a Math Specialist for the District of Columbia Public Schools. During her tenure, she devoted her spare time tutoring and coaching children from low-income families.

Ms. Carr completed Gains in the Education of Mathematics and Science (GEMS) program for teachers at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Maryland.

Ms. Carr also brings with her over fifteen years of international field experience in project/program management, stakeholder management, and private sector development in Oil & Gas Upstream.
Ms. Carr is a graduate of Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in Washington DC and the University of Houston-Downtown.
